The Indian Federation of Culinary Associations is the nodal body of all chefs associations across India, engaged in the development and promotion of professional culinary skills in individuals and organizations and supporting all activities in practical culinary, training, research and campaigning for recognition and appreciation of culinary arts and people engaged in it.

Awarded in recognition of being an Outstanding Culinary Pioneer who has been a pathfinder in the industry and has inspired future generations with their innovations in the culinary arts & sciences and immensely contributed to the development of Culinary Profession and Trade.

TECH CHEF AWARD

Awarded in recognition of a chef who has harnessed innovative and creative information, engineering, or equipment technologies to drive new business, improve business processes, or realize efficiencies and profits. Entries must be for project live dates no more than one year before the closing entry date.

THE NATIONAL INTERNATIONAL CHEF AWARD

Awarded in recognition of a chef who has enabled their restaurant group to internationalize its portfolio of restaurants, either branded or unbranded, by any other means than a franchise system.

LEGEND AWARD

This award recognizes an individual responsible for a concept or concepts that have changed the face of global restaurant food service. The winner will have had a profound impact upon the industry they serve. They may have introduced an innovative new process, system or practice, or a new business model, that has revolutionised global food service. Entrants may still be active in the restaurant sector but need not necessarily be. They will have worked in the food service industry for at least twenty years.

THE ZERO HERO

Awarded in recognition of a chef who has enabled or facilitated introducing a zero-waste concept in their restaurant or hotel group.

HISTORIAN CHEF AWARD

Awarded in recognition of a chef who has brought back or recreated long-lost legendary vintage/ heirloom recipes into everyday cuisine of their restaurant or hotel group.

How to enter

​

Candidates selected for the Awards are expected to be with a high degree of creativity, talent and passion, well versed in the respective discipline for which Awards are identified and presented to the culinary professionals and Associates who have worked / contributed towards Society, the Mission and Vision of World Chefs, Indian Federation of Culinary Associations and its regional associations. Some of the activities which have contributed to the development of culinary arts and the profession.

 

Taking part in national & international culinary completion, contribution towards the world association of chefs society congress, eat right movement, the nutrition programme, training programmes, activities for development of trade, development of profession, seminars, conferences, contribution to international chef’s day, contribution towards the Culinary Institute for underprivileged supported by IFCA at Ranchi, various social initiatives conducted by regional associations of IFCA across the country and promoting various national and international conferences in many ways.

  • Professional Chefs are only eligible for nominating their names for 'Best Young Chefs Mentor and Exceptional Achievement Award'

  • Culinary Trainers are only eligible for nominating their names for 'Best Culinary Educator and 'Best Culinary Leader'

  • Student Chefs are only eligible for nominating their names for 'Star Chef Award'

The Judging Process

The IFCA’s Awards & Recognitions are announced to honour the most deserving candidates.  The Awards are based on the nominations received, while some of them are also only on invitation as decided by IFCA presidium / Awards Committee.

Nomination / Selection for the IFCA Awards calls mandatory Delegate Registration for participation in the Conference- Delegate Registration number to be mentioned in the Application for Nomination.

​

Awards announcement & selection are subject to deserving / eligible candidates being available through nomination or otherwise.  Awards may not be announced if eligible candidates for any category are not available for selection.  IFCA Judges’ decision is final, and no representations will be entertained.

​

Judges panel of IFCA presidium will scrutinize the profiles and achievements of the nominees to decide for Awards in the suitable category. Judges panel’s decision is final.

​

Application must be sent to (ifcapresidium@gmail.com) with all attachments in soft copy and hard copy to be dispatched / handed over to IFCA secretariat by post or in person.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

The complete nomination package must include the following

A Completed application form.​

A Professional resume of the candidate providing the achievements of the candidate (250 words) should be submitted along with Application form.

Attested Copies of Testimonials for achievements.  Each document should not exceed two pages.
